A bit about me
I grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California. Since childhood my passion was always ballet, I guess my mother passed that onto me. What is love mostly about it is how it needs you to perfectly balance your body, breath and most importantly the mind. Maybe ballet is one of the reasons I fell in love with yoga so much! I remember that day, it was right after graduating from Newbury Park High School, and my older friend Ana asked me to practice yoga with her at her new studio.
I practiced with some postures, but what struck me the most were the breathing exercises, known as Pranayama, and how I could feel the energy flowing through my body. I carried on attending her classes, I felt it’s a beginning of something new in my life.
A few years later, I was sitting by my window on a sunny afternoon in LA, contemplating on my love for yoga when my inner voice said to me with conviction, “Laura, now is the time”. At that moment, I was sure that I was ready for the next step and to dive deeper into the world of yoga.
Soon after that, I found a yoga school, completed my yoga teacher training in Goa and life has never been the same.
